in 1991, I use to rap its a shame in my school. I was in an all white school, lol i am white too. but i was the only one in my grade who knew and loved rap. they thought i was crazy, imagine that? Anyway i use to go to all the shaows at westbury music fair, i went to probably over 80, or so Hip Hop Show, but Monnie Love was the first show i saw. I loved and still love her. i also saw D Nice. I wish there was still hip hop like the old days.... Much Love, Ali M aka SoulQueen
I am an 80s baby who grew up immersed in some of the best music of my time and decades before I was even around (as you can probably see from my blog). I miss hip-hop like this as well. You had the party jams, the conscious music; the music was so much more soulful in my opinion then. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Peace,
L
